Hello there I am a lead guitar player lead singer looking to start a band. I have played in other succesful bar bands before. This time I am looking to start a rockabilly type rock band that will also do whatever else we decide. I am not interested in throwing something together for the sake of gigging rather I would like to more fully develop the band and it's live show before hitting the stage. I'm an experienced (9 yrs) 28 year old bassist looking for some projects to work on in my new home town of Kamloops! I play all styles of music very well by ear, and can read charts pretty good. Mostly just looking for some people to jam and record music with in the Kamloops area, and I'm interested in all style of music. Committed to 2-3 nights a week... I'm a residential contractor by day, bassist by night. All of my bass gear is PRO quality, and I can nail a variety of bass tones out there. I'm new (again) to the area. Most recently been living and playing in LA, Sweden and Vancouver. Been playing for years in various original and cover bands ranging from Hard Rock, Blues, et al (hell even speed-metal country, hehe), also a past BIT grad. Break The Pattern, nominated for Rock Band of the Year at the 2007 Okanagan Music awards based on the strength of their live show only (no formal recordings yet) is in search of a bass player.

Tone, gear and availability are critical. Singing abilities are also an asset.

BTP has been described at The Tea party, Tool, Pearl Jam...and are influenced by these bands along with the Dave Matthews band.

....for the rest of the band. I have connected with a fabulous singer/guitar player (through OMO) and now we need to find a bass player, drummer and keys player. It would be a bonus if these folks could sing as well.
My previous listing here was titled "Looking For Jam Buddies".
The goal is to have some fun, play some music and maybe put a festival set list together. Trevor is in Vernon and I (Tim) am in Kelowna.
The material that we are covering is wide ranging blues/ rock/ roots. Covers from Neil Young, to Tom Waits, Beatles, Talking Heads, Govt Mule, Pearl Jam etc etc as well as some originals.
