The valley will have a chance to attend a celebration of musical endeavors by paying tribute to local musicians, their achievements, and the local scene. The Okanagan’s version of the Juno’s, the Okanagan Music Awards will present 25 Awards to the Okanagan’s 2007 favorites. The evening will include performances by local bands as well as a special guest headliner. Pre-show activities include; music industry seminars from SOCAN and Music BC. Lobby activities include; Industry displays, entertainment, food and licensed bar. As well, an after party and Jam will take place a special location.

Nomination forms have been released to the public and can be found in local newspapers as well as on line at www.scorpionentertainment.ca . The top 3 nominees, from each category, by public ballot will go to a committee of judges. These top nominees will then be judged on specific criteria and the winners will be drawn from these results.

I am a singer/lead guitarist putting together a band to play metal. NOT a cover band. Though we will be playing covers to fill out the set. I have 5 songs recorded and rehearsed to play live. My influences and style of music is vast and varied, but at it's core my original material is a mix of thrash and progessive metal.
